{Link Up} Getting Fit Friday

Here it goes, my first week of getting back on track with fitness and eating better has come to an end. Let's see how I did!

I'm weighing in at 210.8 which means I lost almost 3 pounds this week, not bad! I didn't do the greatest this week with my goals, but I'm definitely getting on the right track to leading a healthier lifestyle!

Last weeks goals:

  • Every morning complete a 60 second plank and 50 situps. {This might be the death of me}
    I did it! and I survived, it actually wasn't too bad! I do this every morning because my tummy and love handles need to go!

  • Track calories daily on My Fitness Pal {Username is thedomesticgeek if you want to add me!}
    I did track my calories everyday, but I don't think I completed entries. I always forget to add dinner every night. It does help me figure out how much I can have at dinner though.

  • Get three 30 minute work outs in {I’m going to try THIS Pinterest work out, so I can get my trashy TV time in too}I did it! I did three workouts each for 30 minutes or more. 2 of them might have been playing Just Dance 4 on the "Just Sweat" mode...it's the gamer in me, I couldn't resist.

  • Start on healthy eating habits {portion control, no junk food}
    I did pretty good. On the first night I was invited to an impromptu family dinner where we had lasagna, cheese bread, and my grandma made homemade strawberry shortcake with homemade whipped cream..and yeah I indulged a little. Then my mom brought a bag of my Grandpa's famous cookies that I've only heard about, but have never tried. I did only eat two so I guess that's good!

    Overall, I've had a lot more willpower when it comes to eating. I have given into a few temptations  but I made a conscious effort to burn off those extra calories.
  • Drink at least 16 ounces of water a day {I know this is low, but I have to start somewhere}I've been doing pretty great with this! Of course working out does help with water intake as I'm just dying for water during any exercise session!

Next week I'll keep the same goals as last and add a couple more:
  • Lose 2 pounds
  • Stop eating when I feel full!

Now it's your turn! We would love if you linked up so we could all support each other in a journey to get healthy. We would love to hear your goals both long and short term; whether you need to lose weight, maintain weight, or just have a healthier lifestyle.
