The {New and Improved} Domestic Geek blog!

I am so excited that it’s March and for all of the exciting things I have in store this month! I’ve decided to completely revamp my blog, not only by giving it’s layout a major facelift, but also by changing my posts to be more me.

If you don't remember, this is what my layout looked like before. I'm not going to lie, I made those glittery banners on Paint and they look...uh, not professional, for lack of a better term.

I updated my about me section too! So make sure to check that out!

I realize that my blog posts have become almost robotic, and I can’t see my voice in any of the posts I’ve written lately. I don’t want that at all, I want this blog to reflect who I am. So starting this month I am focusing on writing posts with good content that reflect who I am as a person a lot more.

I’ve also been drowning in all of the giveaways. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love having giveaways so I can give all of my lovely readers some awesome prizes! I’ve just been doing way too many giveaways, and I haven’t been able to give each giveaway the promotion and time they deserve. So starting this month, I’m aiming for only one giveaway a week. Since I’m only going to giveaway one item a week (on Mondays), this means I’m going to be giving away some higher quality items. I’m excited for some of the things I have up for grabs this month, and you should be too!

So are you ready for a new side of The Domestic Geek? I’m so excited for my posts this month, they include; some fun recipes, maybe a couple posts on how the heck I’m going to decorate my brand new office on a budget, some party planning related posts, and of course a few fun video game posts like a March gift guide for your gamer guy and a how to kick your boyfriend’s butt at video games tutorial.

Also, I’m up for Circle Of Mom’s Top 25 Tech blogs, I would love if you took a minute to vote for me!

This month I had a huge honor of picking Eat Smart's charity of the month, I chose the Ronald McDonald House Charity, to see why I picked the Ronald McDonald House and find out how to make a free donation visit the EatSmart blog!

  1. I'm a huge fan of post on the left and only 2 column layouts...at times I wish I hadn't changed over to 3 columns. This looks great! And it's still so you! I totally recognize and see your blog signature all over this new layout!

  3. Ah, the pixelated follow graphic buttons are awesome. Is it a blog, or an Atari? Yay! :)
