Aliceana finished her first season of tee ball, it was one of the most exciting parts of parenting so far. It was the third game when she caught the ball and threw it to first and the kid at first actually caught it. Everyone cheered because it took 3 games before these kids could actually complete a play, but they did it and we were all so proud. It was adorable and awesome. Moment’s like that don’t happen without great coaches.
Let’s talk about those great coaches and U.S. Cellular’s Most Valuable Coach program. This program honors high school coaches in its markets who lead by example, strengthen their teams and connect with their local communities. U.S. Cellular is teaming up with Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Kurt Warner, to help identify the Most Valuable Coach. Warner will be part of a panel of judges who will choose the Most Valuable Coach based on leadership qualities and the positive impact they have had on their community, school and players.
Visit TheMostValuableCoach.com to watch the video and learn more about the program and to nominate and vote for your favorite high school coach. You can also visit U.S. Cellular’s YouTube, Instagram or Twitter accounts for additional details about the Most Valuable Coach program.
The winning coach will receive a $50,000 donation to the charitable organization of their choosing or their high school athletic department, a trip to Orlando, Fla., and on-field recognition at the Under Armour High School All-America Game. Most Valuable Coach is open to current high school head coaches and assistant coaches of ANY sport, in eligible states where U.S. Cellular offers service and within an eligible zip code (see Zip Code list on TheMostValuableCoach.com)
