Is there anything better than having all of the knowledge in the palm of your hand? Yep, you could use your voice instead of your fingers to access that infinite knowledge. Voice activation is all around us and it’s pretty amazing. I’ve been using Google Assistant a lot lately, whether I like it or not, it’s incredible how many phrases sound like “Ok Google.” isn’t it? I’ve partnered with U.S. Cellular to let you know how you can update to the voice activated world, it’s like having a virtual secretary, it’s pretty great. According to a recent U.S. Cellular survey, 36 percent of smartphone owners use a virtual assistant daily and 30 percent use smart home technology on a daily basis! That’s a number that’s definitely growing.
As far as the smart home you have devices like Amazon’s Echo or Dot and you also have Google Home. You can use these to ask questions like, “how do I get my kitten to stop jumping on the counter?” I found some great suggestions, like place light baking sheets at the counters edge in case you were wondering. These devices can also be used to shop, build your to-do list, play music and lots lots more.
Google Assistant is an updated version of Google Now for your phone, it’s like a wonderful little secretary who can do the same things as Google Home, but you don’t have to be home in order to get the benefits.
Wearables are my favorite, I use my Moto 360 for the same benefits, but on my wrist.
Last but not least, Plantronics has a great line of Bluetooth hands-free devices that you can use in your vehicle. If you have a modern vehicle you might even have voice activation and bluetooth in your car, our Mazda’s do, it’s so convenient.
