Whipped Buttercream Frosting
  • 1¼ cups + ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1½ tsp vanilla
  1. In a cold mixing bowl beat 1¼ cups heavy cream on high until stiff peaks form. This might take several minutes. Scrape whipped cream into a bowl and refrigerate, no need to cover.
  2. In the bowl of your mixer, beat together butter, vanilla, and remaining heavy cream until well combined. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until the mixture is about the consistency of frosting.
  3. Fold refrigerated whipped cream into the buttercream mixture until well combined.
  4. Frost cake or cupcakes and store refrigerated.
